Newark Dances is committed to supporting the creation of new and diverse dance works by local choreographers and dance artists. Our performances are free and open to the public. Our first performance is scheduled to take place in Weequahic Park, Newark, New Jersey in October 2022.
We are fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas and we are also the recipient of the 2021 Newark Artist Accelerator grant through Project For An Empty Space. These funds were made possible by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Regional Regranting Program and The New Jersey Arts and Culture Recovery Fund.
